Next Monday, Thursday and Friday, you will be presenting your dishes to your classmates and your English teachers. Read the instructions for a successfull oral exposition:

Your oral exposition must be:

  • Structured in four parts, each speaker in your group will be in charged of one of the parts. If preparation is too long, it can be divided for two speakers.

  1. Tools: the kitchen tools you need to set your dish ready.
  2. Ingredients for your dish.
  3. Preparation: steps to get the dish ready.
  4. Who it is addressed to or for which situation it would be perfect.

An advice: give the easier parts to the students in groups C, so your exposition goes smoother!.

  • Tips for your speaking:

  1. Don’t run!! Speak slow and clearly.
  2. Introduce each member of the group and say the name of your dish before starting.
  3. Be natural, look to your audience.
  4. If you mistake, don’t worry just repeat what you were saying.

Don’t forget to bring the tools and any other thing you might need such as:

*Aprons (compulsory that each member of the group wears one)
*Knives, spoons, forks, plastic plates, paper napkins...
*Small long rectangle shaped paper (folded in half, so that it stand on the table) with the name of your dish, to put next to the final product as apears in the pictures of last year.

Take here a look at the rubric (which shows you what the teachers will take into account to mark your oral exposition).

Each class will do the exposition in a different day, as follows:

Monday, 16th/04: JĂșlia's groups.
Thursday, 19th/04: Natalia's groups.
Friday, 20th/04: Ester's groups.

There will be three best groups graded as winners, 1st finalist, 2nd finalist.

Good luck and Enjoy yourselves!
